Job description

Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Overview

This role is within a newly established Birmingham-based MEP design team, part of a wider national 8-office MEP consultancy. The position is purely technical, focusing on design and delivery, primarily on new-build projects up to RIBA stage 4a across various sectors, including involvement in Birmingham's largest Masterplan Project.

You will report directly to the Director and work alongside a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, with opportunities for progression. The Director is social and industry-oriented, open to engineers joining him for networking and exposure.

Responsibilities
  • Generate detailed Mechanical Designs and assist with project delivery.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with CIBSE guidelines.
  • Manage projects from concept to detailed design and completion.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in building services.
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent (HND/HNC or MSc).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Tas, Hevacomp (desirable).
  • Deep understanding of Mechanical systems and installation processes.
  • Ability to work in the UK without sponsorship.
