Job description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the mechanical functions throughout the life cycle of various projects, from concept design to commissioning. You will work primarily in the UK water market, delivering feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, and handover services for water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure and non‑infrastructure projects through outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Prepare and review P&IDs, valve schedules, pump calculations, safe access and lifting arrangements, and above‑ground pipework layouts.
  • Coordinate with electrical, civil, geotechnical and process designers to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to quality standards set by framework specifications.
  • Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages and construction.
  • Engage positively with the client, managing relationships and supporting them to achieve their aims.
  • Support the mechanical engineering team by coaching and mentoring engineers and identifying suitable resources for projects.
