Job summary

Platform Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking a hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative medical devices company. You will lead the development of precision mechanical systems for drug delivery products, taking designs from early concepts through to high-volume manufacture, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, experience in medical devices, strong 3D CAD skills, knowledge of injection moulding and high-volume

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous experience developing medical devices is a must.
• Strong 3D CAD skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of designs from concept through to production
• Develop precision mechanical components and assemblies
• Produce 3D CAD drawings and supporting documentation
• Support prototype builds, testing, and engineering investigations
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to optimise designs for scalable production
• Assess tolerance stack-ups and the impact of manufacturing variation on performance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative technology company developing cutting-edge medical devices. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the development of precision mechanical systems for next-generation drug delivery products, taking designs from early-stage concepts through to high-volume manufacture

Key Responsibilities
