Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Dry Gas Seals Team, reporting to the Lead Engineer for Gas Seals. In this role, you will develop innovative solutions for customer-specific applications beyond our standard dry gas seal range, support RFT activities by troubleshooting non-conforming seal designs through data analysis and cosmetic assessment.

This position is based at our headquarters in Slough, with Monday to Friday office hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute development programs for customer-driven Dry Gas Sealing applications, including planning, testing, design, qualification, and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance on design, performance, procurement, manufacturing, and testing of Dry Gas Sealing products for turbomachinery.
• Create technical presentations to support sales and training initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports and correspondence related to projects.
• Utilize CAD software to produce 3D models and perform finite element analysis to assess product performance.
• Support RFT activities by troubleshooting issues related to product performance or production.
• Conduct and monitor tests to validate results against theoretical analysis.
• Continuously update knowledge related to assigned projects.
