Senior Mechanical Engineer – Major Infrastructure Projects
Location: Manchester Hybrid working available

I'm working with one of the world's largest engineering and project management consultancies, employing over 20,000 professionals globally. Their UK team plays a central role in shaping critical infrastructure across sectors including water, energy, defence, aviation, and the built environment.

Right now, they're looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer into their Manchester team – someone who's ready to contribute to nationally significant programmes and internationally recognised projects.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading mechanical design on multi–disciplinary projects
• Managing junior engineers and contributing to team development
• Preparing technical reports, scopes of work and bid proposals
• Ensuring designs meet all UK regulations and relevant standards (including CDM, ATEX)
• Engaging with teams across the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions

What they're looking for:

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer (or working toward chartership)
• Strong experience in the design and delivery of complex mechanical systems
• In–depth knowledge of equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens and dosing plant
• Sound understanding of current UK design codes and standards
• Familiarity with large–scale infrastructure or multidisciplinary project environments
