Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Role
We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering engineering and technical activities across a range of exciting and complex projects.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll manage the delivery of engineering outputs using your process knowledge and technical expertise, while supporting project and client relationships.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading and delivering mechanical engineering tasks as part of multi-disciplinary teams

  • Supporting the effective management of client relationships

  • Ensuring the correct application of engineering procedures, codes and standards

  • Contributing to project safety assessments and risk management

  • Producing, reviewing and approving technical deliverables including calculations, reports, drawings and models

This is a hybrid role, offering 3 days in the Leicester office and 2 days working from home.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline engineering teams

  • Ability to work across a range of project types and levels of complexity

  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients and stakeholders

  • Ability to identify and manage technical risks

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical or General Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • Significant demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Nuclear experience is not required - we welcome applicants from a wide range of industries

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance

  • Full-time role: 37 hours per week
