As a Mechanical Engineer you will provide technical support to projects and working closely with engineers of other disciplines and project managers. You will report to the Head of MEICA and will assist with the design and delivery of a range of multidisciplinary engineering and environmental improvement projects. We deliver projects for numerous clients covering a broad range of requirements from around the UK.
Although we operate a hybrid working model which allows some flexibility in your working pattern, you will be based in Leeds or Peterborough and will be expected to work routinely from the office to build and retain relationships with your local teams.

Your role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer with a keen interest in delivering projects that make a difference to society. The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team.
You will be expected to input into and originate typical mechanical engineering documents such as P&I diagrams, mechanical schedules, pump system calculations, equipment datasheets and sub-contractor works specifications. You will represent the MEICA team in internal project meetings as well as external client meetings.
It is expected that you will have solid post graduate experience (BEng or MEng or equivalent in relevant discipline) and will be working towards, and be close to applying for, professional membership i.e. IEng or CEng.
A full UK driving licence will be beneficial.
Essential attributes for the role:
• relevant UK experience in the industry
• proven experience in delivering water and regulated water projects
• sound appreciation for engineering principles and good analytical skills for problem solving
• self-motivation and a high degree of organisation.
Location:
The role will be based at either our Leeds LS1 4BN, or Peterborough PE2 6GG office.
