Senior Mechanical Engineer, k, Fleet

Hexwired Recruitment is recruiting for a rapidly expanding electronics manufacturer based in Fleet now seeking mechanical design engineers to help deliver key projects for clients across a range of industries! You will be working as part of an experienced team to develop a range of bespoke products.

The company are expanding to meet the demands of their clients and are seeking a mechanical design engineer ideally with experience working within the industry and has a good understanding of the role. You will be working with some of the biggest companies in the world.

This is a mechanical design engineer job focusing primarily on supporting other teams in matters of design and providing mentoring support to the other mechanical and electrical product engineers.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent SolidWorks experience
  • Able to produce electro–mechanical 3D models and technical drawings
  • Produce 2D engineering drawings and BOMS from 3D designs
  • The ability to generate and maintain all design related documentation, this can include generating design files and logging all relevant calculations, as well as compiling all documents required for UKCA/CE approval
  • Provide complete mechanical and electrical design and information packs to assist the manufacturing team
  • Provide support for the team and be a team player and understanding your role within the team
  • Able to lead by example and take on leading roles within the industry
  • Preferably auto CAD experience but not crucial
