CONTRACT Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's Infrastructure team. You will play a vital role in electrical engineering on various critical UK projects across sectors such as water, aviation, defence, energy, cities & development, and education.

The ideal candidate will be Chartered with around 5 years of experience.

Roles:

• Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high quality.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
• Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design processes.

Requirements:

• Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens, and chemical dosing plants, along with understanding of UK design standards and practices.
• Strong understanding of legislation such as CDM and ATEX.
