Location: Derby, UK (may need to travel across client’s sites throughout UK)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Type: Permanent (minimum 40 hours per week)

Job Description
Stress Man Limited are currently seeking a highly experienced, resourceful, and delivery-focused Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our growing customer base.

As a Senior engineer, you'll possess 6-12 years experience within rotating turbo-machinery/ GT/aero design and stress. Must be capable of executing design and development projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for requirements capture and execution. Preferably have experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

You should have demonstrable experience in gas turbine low-and-high pressure compressor/turbine design and analysis, including:
Design and modification of key multi-spool low-pressure compressor components such as discs, stators, aerofoils, seals, and attaching parts. Preparation of certification reports, design record books, and definition solutions, accounting for layouts, clash checks, materials, weights, and tolerances.

Conducting design trade studies, iterating existing architectures to achieve design improvements and incremental gains in performance, materials, weight, cost, and aerodynamic and thermal properties across the compressor and turbine. Perform 2D and 3D stress analysis using advanced modeling techniques. Collaborate with internal teams (stress analysis, life management, materials) to meet project requirements.

You must also be capable of technical authoring, implementation, of gas turbine engine design and repair solutions. Skilled at supporting Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) shops, ensuring efficient and effective repair processes.

Other Duties:-You will be required to perform duties at our offices and also at any of the projects undertaken by our offices at any of our client sites. You will be reporting to your line manager for all your tasks mentioned above.

Qualifications required; -Education qualification should be Bachelors in Aeronautical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
