Job summary

Amentum is actively recruiting a Senior Mechanical Designer to produce and update 3D models and detailed mechanical drawings for the Sellafield project. The role involves GA layouts, sub-assemblies, and MFDs, working within a regulated environment and collaborative teams.

Successful candidates will bring hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault, plus knowledge of safety and quality standards (CDM, PUWER, LOLER).

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC minimum in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experienced in Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
• Knowledge of BS EN 12100 and related standards (CDM, SoMSR, PUWER & LOLER).

Responsibilities

• Produce and update 3D models and mechanical drawings (GA’s, sub-assemblies, layouts, MFDs).
• Support testing queries and manufacturing technical queries/production permits/concessions.
• Provide design/detail design of machines, plant and equipment; contribute to O&M manuals and design risk assessments per BS EN 12100.
