Job description

Description

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

Responsibilities
  • Work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams to develop mechanical physical layout drawings in 3-D models.
  • Design mechanical systems, troubleshoot, and resolve various mechanical design issues.
  • Use 3D modeling software to generate mechanical schematics.
  • Coordinate detailed design phases for integrated mechanical models.
  • Support other designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely designs.
  • Plan and execute mechanical design deliverables, including general arrangements, piping isometrics, and equipment layouts.
  • Participate in field walkdowns and data collection at client facilities.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced drafters and designers in drafting tools and techniques.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma with relevant technical experience.
  • 12+ years of detailed physical design experience in mechanical arrangements and piping systems.
  • Proficiency with 3D plant layout software.
  • Experience reviewing mechanical equipment and developing related deliverables.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Valued but not required:

  • Proficiency with MicroStation.
  • Experience with Laser Scanning and Point Clouds.
