The role

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you’ll play a vital role. You’ll serve as a point of contact with professional engineering colleagues and stakeholders for discipline-related issues during the design lifecycle, contribute to design reviews, and ensure coordination and functionality of the design.

Day-to-day, you’ll allocate discipline tasks to a team of Designers, review team outputs, and ensure inter-discipline coordination in line with company and regulatory standards.

• Promote effective cooperation across Design and other functional teams.
• Assist in managing customer relationships, including liaison and development of new and existing clients, to support business growth and technical resolution.
• Advise on methods and tools for tasks and provide technical support to your team.
• Contribute to the preparation of drawings supporting basic, detailed, and production design in accordance with ISO standards, meeting time, cost, and quality requirements.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based in Warrington, Cheshire, with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Essential experience

• Experience in detailed design environments.
• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
• Incorporated Engineer status.
• Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary design team.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
