Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for an award-winning MEP design consultancy in the UK. You will contribute to healthcare and education projects, sketch and develop designs, and take responsibility for technical and financial decisions.

The role offers hybrid working with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, with opportunities for progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in mechanical or building services (Chartered or working towards) or HNC/HND with suitable design experience.
• Strong client interaction and communication skills.
• Proficiency with CAD software, Hevacomp, and Office suite.

Responsabilités

• Sketch and develop designs and briefs dictated by clients or managers.
• Take full technical and financial responsibility for choices and project delivery.
• Undertake surveys and prepare reports on mechanical aspects, compliance, and energy evaluation.
• Translate requirements into CAD drawings and support CAD technicians.
• Ensure designs comply with standards, codes of practice and regulations.
• Maintain output to programme and effective time management.
• Knowledge of British standards and building regulations.
• Work with minimal supervision.
