• Design composite and metallic parts and route complex wiring harnesses.
• Produce mechanical drawings and supporting documentation from CAD data.
• Collaborate on future car programs and implement development technologies.

Overview

Alpine Racing Limited is seeking an exceptionally talented Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in Electrical Systems Integration to join our Electronics group within the Engineering Office at Enstone. The role will play a crucial part in helping us push for podiums and race wins through engineering excellence, technology innovation, and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3‑D mechanical design and integration of all electrical components on and off the car in accordance with F1 technical regulations.
• Design composites and metallic parts and route complex wiring harnesses.
• Use CAD data to produce mechanical drawings and support documentation for electrical components and assemblies.
• Collaborate on future car programmes and implement development technologies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in F1 or another high‑level motorsport preferred.
• Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a solid base knowledge of engineering first principles.
• Proven CAD experience (Catia V5/3DX and Electrical Workbench preferred; training support for NX or similar).
• Understanding of motorsport electrical systems, military spec connectors and harness design.
• Self‑motivated, analytical, pragmatic decision‑maker able to work with minimal supervision.
• Creative, innovative, consistent problem‑solving approach.
