Job summary

Ethos Engineering is expanding its Birmingham presence with a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role. You will oversee projects from concept to client handover across EMEA, mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS and EN standards.

The position combines remote work with eventual office collaboration in a growing UK hub. You will work closely with the Dublin team, applying your expertise in AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office to deliver high-impact data centre

Qualifications

• Honours Degree – Chartered an advantage but not essential.
• Minimum 7+ years experience with Data Centres, Industrial, High Tech, Commercial and/or Healthcare engineering projects.
• Deep understanding of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS and EN Standards.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCad and REVIT

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical services design on projects from concept stage to completion.
• Specification and design of mechanical building services systems.
• Continuous design and installation quality checks and control.
• Provide fully detailed tender packages / tender reports / analysis / recommendations.
• Uphold the mechanical design standards within the organisation.
• Collaborate with the design team and clients to develop project scopes.
• Capable of taking the lead on projects with minimal input from management team.
• Mentor and guide engineering staff.
