Qualifications

• 3–4 years post-qualification mechanical building services design experience.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building services.
• Experience delivering mechanical designs through multiple project stages.
• Experience using Revit and Building Services design software.
• Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident working directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Membership of CIBSE or Chartered status is advantageous.
• Experience with HTMs, BREEAM, renewable technologies and low-carbon building design beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering design on selected projects.
• Produce and review mechanical calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Work across projects from concept and initial design through to completion.
• Attend project and design team meetings.
• Work directly with clients and key project stakeholders.
• Support and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Incorporate renewable and low-carbon technologies into building designs.
• Work collaboratively alongside electrical and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Help maintain and improve technical standards across the engineering team.
• Deliver projects to agreed timescales and technical standards.
