ROLE – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
SALARY - £40,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Warrington
My client is a specialist manufacturer of products and engineering solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Warrington area on a permanent basis.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar
- 5 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient with using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design
- Confident knowledge of a variety of mechanical processes
- Experience working with rubber, polymer, hydraulics, and machinery
- Experienced designing products from concept to production
- Innovative and passionate about design
- Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
- Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
- Design and development of various custom products
- Ensuring 3D design solutions and engineering drawings are completed for all New Product Development projects
- Getting hands on with machinery and other areas of the business
- Using CAD for design on a day-to-day basis
- Developing ideas from concept to production
- Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
- Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
- Providing technical guidance and support
- Supporting junior team members and providing guidance
