Equans is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Decarbonisation & Energy Solutions) to join our team in London or Manchester. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the delivery of high-quality mechanical designs and technical support across decarbonisation and sustainable retrofit projects. This includes the design and optimisation of HVAC systems, heat pumps, and building automation systems, supporting the full project lifecycle from early feasibility through to construction and commissioning.
This position requires technical leadership, design management, and mentoring responsibilities within a multidisciplinary environment. The role supports public and private sector clients in achieving their decarbonisation and net-zero ambitions.
Working closely with the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, this role ensures compliance with industry regulations, fosters innovation, and supports the development of junior engineers within the team.
