Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Escape Recruitment's client, based in Glasgow, is seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to innovative engineering projects for a global business, supporting customers across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering design and technical support across the full product lifecycle.
• Review customer specifications and support tendering, operations, and field service teams.
• Carry out design calculations, produce technical specifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. API).
• Lead on ATEX standards relating to pumping equipment.
• Collaborate with cross–functional teams including supply chain, quality, and production.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience, ideally with rotating machinery or related equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Proficient in relevant design software and technical report writing.
