Salary: £45k-£60k

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer specialising in precision-engineered equipment. They are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to lead innovative engineering projects, driving product enhancements and continuous improvement while providing critical technical support to cross-functional teams. You'll manage design updates, oversee engineering changes, and develop creative solutions that meet global standards.

The Role:

1. Solve complex engineering problems
2. 3D CAD design
3. Improve current product ranges
4. Prototype, test & validate designs
5. Mechanism & component design
6. Produce bills of materials
7. Work with production to solve technical issues

Requirements:

1. Degree in relevant engineering discipline
2. Strong 3D CAD skills
3. Experience in the full product lifecycle
4. Good understanding of different manufacturing processes
5. Industry experience in rotating equipment, oil & gas, subsea & power generation
6. Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatics is advantageous
