Reevr Talent Ltd is partnering with a Warwick‑based engineering business to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer for the Project Delivery team. You will own mechanical work packages across the full lifecycle of automation projects, from concept feasibility through to handover to customers.

Qualifications

• A minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years' post‑graduate engineering experience.
• Experience designing and developing automation or special‑purpose machinery.
• Strong practical, hands‑on engineering experience.
• Good proficiency in 3D CAD, assemblies, pneumatic design and detailed drawings.
• Experience with BoMs, RFQs and supplier interaction.
• Experience with testing, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Knowledge of validation processes such as DQ, FAT and SAT.
• Experience working within regulated industries would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are working with an innovative engineering business based in Warwick, specialising in the design and manufacture of automated machinery for the pharmaceutical, medical device and FMCG industries.

They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their Project Delivery team and take ownership of mechanical engineering work packages across the full lifecycle of automation projects.

This is a hands‑on role where you will be involved from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design, build, testing, installation and customer handover.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality mechanical designs and supporting automation projects through to completion. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing full 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings from concept through to manufacture.
• Producing pneumatic schematics and supporting design reviews and reverse‑build activities.
• Contributing to feasibility studies, risk assessments and technical evaluations.
• Managing Bills of Materials (BoMs) and supporting RFQs, supplier selection and procurement.
• Working hands‑on with engineering teams during build, testing and troubleshooting.
• Developing and executing test protocols, supporting root cause analysis and implementing design improvements.
• Producing technical documentation covering machine qualification, safety, compliance, operation, training and maintenance.
• Supporting DQ, FAT and SAT activities, including resolving test non‑conformances.
• Managing engineering changes and ensuring compliance with change control procedures.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of machine shipping and installation activities.
• Working directly with customers to understand requirements, present designs and resolve technical queries.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across mechanical, electrical, software and project teams.

About You

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer with experience working within a project‑driven engineering or automation environment.

You will ideally have:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years' post‑graduate engineering experience.
• Experience designing and developing automation or special‑purpose machinery.
• Strong practical, hands‑on engineering experience.
• Good proficiency in 3D CAD, assemblies, pneumatic design and detailed drawings.
• Experience with BoMs, RFQs and supplier interaction.
• Experience with testing, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Knowledge of validation processes such as DQ, FAT and SAT.
• Experience working within regulated industries would be highly advantageous.

Desirable Experience

• Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
• CE/UKCA compliance.
• Machine safety and FMEA.
• Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA).
• Experience within pharmaceutical, medical device or FMCG environments.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers.
