Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract – Manchester - Outside IR35 – £neg – 6 months

Great opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established design consultancy on a 6-month contract based in the heart of Manchester.

The Role

1. Assisting in developing detailed designs in line with the client brief.
2. Conducting mechanical design services calculations.
3. Assisting in the production of mechanical services specifications and schedules.
4. Conducting feasibility studies.
5. Providing technical support and advice.
6. Providing statements and/or reports when needed.

Essential Requirements

1. Dynamic individuals with a strong HVAC background.
2. First-rate communication skills.
3. Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop requirements for new building service projects.
4. Previous experience working on commercial fit-out projects.
5. Experience doing site surveys, heat calculations, steam and ventilation systems design.
6. Working knowledge of technical software including Hevacomp.
7. Excellent time management skills.
8. Drive and determination.
9. Good supervisory qualities and experience.
10. Highly motivated with the drive to take on new challenges.
