JOB- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Renewables)

LOCATION- Tonbridge

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £40,000 to £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Premier Engineering is working with an innovative company in the renewables sector based near Tonbridge. They are looking to expand their technical team with the addition of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on the development of cutting-edge sustainable energy solutions.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC) in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the renewables, energy, or HVAC sectors
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
• Understanding of thermal systems, fluid dynamics, and energy efficiency principles
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture (DFM)
• Experience managing design projects from concept to production
• Excellent communication and teamworking skills

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Leading the mechanical design of renewable energy products and systems
• Creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including electrical and controls engineers
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and sustainability standards
