REED Secure have recently partnered with an engineering company that delivers mission-critical engineering to Europe’s nuclear and healthcare industries. You will provide the leadership and management of multi-disciplined engineering teams in the delivery of one of the major projects or workstreams.

Responsible for the provision of elements associated with the successful delivery of machine design and build projects. Working as part of a project team, you will manage design output from concept to validation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Progress the technical delivery of engineering projects, as allocated, in alignment with the Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
  • Technically support the Commercial Department.
  • Produce engineering designs and associated engineering documents.
  • Manage the day-to-day technical aspects of allocated projects working with a team of engineers or as individuals. Work should be carried out with minimal to no supervision, but with regular consultation with the Head of Department.
  • Provide analyses and understand technical tender specifications, producing the technical aspects of tender returns and creating accurate tender design estimates.
  • Peer review concept designs, 3D CAD scheme designs, detailed manufacturing drawings, and design substantiation by hand calculations.
  • Produce substantiation (by hand calculation) of engineering designs.
  • Support the development of the engineering resource, development, and implementation of internship and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Produce concept designs, full 3D scheme design, and 2D detail design for manufacture within SolidWorks, all within the required timescales.
  • Support business change via effective management processes.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree (BEng/MSc).
  • HNC/HND Engineering Discipline (Mechanical).
  • Professional Registration (EngTech/IEng/CEng).
  • Nuclear experience/highly regulated industry.
  • Security Cleared (DV/SC) – Desirable.
  • BPSS clearance required.

Please note for this role you will be required to undergo BPSS Clearance.
