Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Commutable from Leicester, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Loughborough and Coalville

GBP65,000 – GBP80,000 + Mon–Fri (8.00 to 4.30pm) + Progression opportunity (head of department) + Company Pension + hybrid working + Office based role

Company, who specialise in bespoke engineering solutions, is looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join their team. You will become a vital part of the design team and play a key role within the company.

This company specialise in bespoke processing and material handling solutions. Due to continued growth and securing several large-scale projects, they are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join their team.

You will be leading a team of 3 engineers, liaising with engineers and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while providing excellent service.

In this role, you will be responsible for using AutoCAD Inventor software, overseeing the completion of the entire design process from concept to manufacture, including dealing with technical files and liaising with clients.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of conveyor/automation systems and machinery or have worked within FMCG. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a major role in designing bespoke solutions for several large blue-chip companies and become a fundamental part of a successful company.

The Role:

1. Using AutoCAD Inventor to produce detailed designs
2. Liaising with engineers and clients to ensure projects are completed correctly
3. Ensuring projects are on budget and on time

The Person:

1. Experienced in working on large projects
2. Manufacturing design background
3. Experience within FMCG or process machinery
