Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Exeter. The role involves designing mechanical components and systems within the automotive industry, utilizing CAD software, and collaborating with manufacturing providers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) for concept design and technical drawings.
  2. Liaising with manufacturing providers.
  3. Creating design documentation and project reports/plans.
  4. Updating 3D models and drawings.
  5. Presenting designs and justifying decisions during reviews.
  6. Working within a small, multidisciplinary team on various projects.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar design engineering role within manufacturing.
