The client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Exeter. The role involves designing mechanical components and systems within the automotive industry, utilizing CAD software, and collaborating with manufacturing providers.
- Using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) for concept design and technical drawings.
- Liaising with manufacturing providers.
- Creating design documentation and project reports/plans.
- Updating 3D models and drawings.
- Presenting designs and justifying decisions during reviews.
- Working within a small, multidisciplinary team on various projects.
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering.
- Experience in a similar design engineering role within manufacturing.
