MCS Group are proud to be partnered with an advanced manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design, development and implementation of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead the mechanical design and development of bespoke equipment, machinery and robotic systems.
• Develop concepts, detailed design and engineering drawings
• Prepare and present technical design reviews
• Oversee prototype development, assembly, testing and commissioning of equipment.
• Liaise with clients to gather requirements and provide technical support.
• Support project management in scheduling, cost estimation and progress tracking.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
• Manage time lines, budgets, and resources
• Collaborate with the electrical team to ensure system integration

Essential Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical design role
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks)
• Familiar with equipment such as conveyors, robotics, pick-and-place systems and machine vision.
• Experience with pneumatic systems.
