Job description

Our client is a rapidly expanding SME who supply the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of products within the clean energy sector and due to continued expansion they are now looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with demonstrable knowledge and experience in solid works, CAD drawings, FEA, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, development, and specification of new and existing pressure related products.
2. Understanding and interpreting customer requirements.
3. Ensure designs conform to industry, customer, and company standards.
4. Select suitable materials, surface finishes, coatings etc for the products intended use.
5. Carry out regular design reviews with the team and/or customer.
6. Analyse designs using suitable tools and liaise with third party design verification company.
7. Carry out value engineering to engineer cost out of the products.
8. Output accurate models, drawings, BOM's and other technical documents to customers, both internal and external.
9. Check & sign off drawings in line with relevant drawing standards.
10. Carry out engineering changes using revision control procedures.
11. Manage non-conformances.
