Job summary

Altrad is recruiting a Mechanical Delivery Lead for Hinkley Point C. You will provide technical leadership for mechanical installation, including piping, HVAC and equipment, directing a team across multiple disciplines on a major UK nuclear project.

Based on site, you will collaborate with construction, commercial, planning, quality and supply chain teams to deliver safe, efficient outcomes; drive strategy and ensure standards across the project.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• 10+ years in project management for complex mechanical installs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Up-to-date HSE standards knowledge; CDM awareness a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the MEH JV focal point for mechanical installation scope.
• Lead and support a team of mechanical resources; SME across areas.
• Provide reporting to the MEH JV Construction Manager on mechanical services.
• Give safety guidance relating to installation of mechanical equipment.
• Develop and deliver end-to-end mechanical services installation strategy.
• Drive consistency in delivery standards across the project area.
• Ensure best-for-project interface decisions across areas/buildings.
• Coordinate constructability activities with supply chain.
• Support MEH JV commercial with accurate cost advice.
• Assist MEH JV planning with schedule advice for installation activities.
• Support QA with Inspection & Test Plans for mechanical work.
• Provide performance and progress information for weekly/monthly reporting.
• Contribute to resource management for both white- and blue-collar staff.
• Support pre-planning for movement and erection of equipment, logistics planning.
• Provide technical information to support the wider HPC project.
• Identify and mitigate risks for mechanical installation activities.
• Ensure installation work complies with HSE standards and project requirements.
