Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join Kier Design, based in Liverpool or London. You will lead the mechanical design team on large, complex construction projects, delivering innovative, compliant, and cost-effective solutions from concept through construction.

You'll collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to translate technical requirements into clear business outcomes. 40-hour week with some flexibility; salary starting from £50,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Member of CIBSE or IET.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered.
• Experience handling high-level technical concepts and complex design.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality mechanical designs and specifications meeting client requirements and brief.
• Lead on all professional services in connection with mechanical design for allocated projects and clients.
• Represent mechanical engineering in project design meetings, establishing solutions and agreeing concepts.
• Ensure delivery of co-ordinated design solutions and compliance with building codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Promote and implement sustainable design solutions while resolving technical and logistical challenges.

We're looking for a SeniorMechanical Engineer to join Kier Design team based in Liverpool or London. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Location: Liverpool or London
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
Salary: starting from £50,000 per annum

Are you…

• Holding a Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and member of CIBSE or IET
• A Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming chartered
• Experienced in your discipline with a high level of knowledge
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts into readily understood information suitable for a wider business audience
• Experienced in the application of quality procedures and document control in engineering design

What will you be responsible for?

As a SeniorMechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Mechanical team, supporting them in delivering mechanical design for large, complex construction projects.

You'll lead the mechanical design team, integrate different disciplines, and drive innovation for high-value projects, ensuring sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective design delivery from concept through to construction.

Workingcollaboratively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, you'll bridge client needs with engineering reality whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Your day to daywill include:
