Job summary

Sword is seeking a Senior Maximo Technical Consultant to drive key initiatives within the Maximo Application Suite (MAS), including MAS Mobile, meter-based maintenance, and MAS upgrades from 9.0 to 9.2. You will work across cloud-hosted MAS environments and PI/MIF integrations.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience delivering technical solutions within IBM Maximo and MAS environments.
• Strong MAS Mobile expertise, ideally for field operations or inventory management use cases.
• Cloud-hosted MAS environments, preferably on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO).
• Experience with meter-based maintenance, PI integration, and the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
• Experience supporting MAS upgrade programmes (MAS 9.0 to 9.2) or similar MAS 9.x upgrades.
• Strong Java development knowledge and Maximo customisation frameworks.
• Experience with deployment pipelines and configuration management using DBC scripting.
• Ability to work independently and deliver value with minimal onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical expertise across MAS Mobile, meter-based maintenance, PI integration, MIF, and MAS upgrades.
• Assess, troubleshoot, and resolve compatibility issues related to Java and Maximo customisations.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Test Analysts, Product Analysts, the PO, and Delivery Manager to remove blockers and ensure delivery.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for knowledge transfer.

• Provide hands‑on technical expertise and delivery support across MAS Mobile, meter-based maintenance, PI integration, Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), and MAS upgrade activities.
• Assess, troubleshoot, and resolve compatibility issues related to Java and Maximo customisations.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including DevOps Engineers, Test Analysts, Product Analysts, the Product Owner, and Delivery Manager, to remove technical blockers and support successful delivery outcomes.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, ensuring effective knowledge transfer throughout the engagement.

Requirements

• Proven hands‑on experience delivering technical solutions within IBM Maximo and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments.
• Strong expertise in MAS Mobile, ideally supporting field operations, maintenance, or inventory management use cases.
• Demonstrable experience working within cloud‑hosted MAS environments, preferably on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO).
• Experience with meter‑based maintenance, PI integration, and the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
• Experience supporting MAS upgrade programmes, particularly MAS 9.0 to MAS 9.2, or similar MAS 9.x upgrade activities.
• Strong technical knowledge of Java development and Maximo customisation frameworks.
• Experience with deployment and release processes, including deployment pipelines and DBC scripting for Maximo configuration management.
• Ability to work independently, quickly understand existing environments, and deliver value with minimal onboarding.
