Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Materials Control & Logistics Manager to lead material planning, inventory control and warehousing across Motorsport programmes. You will ensure race cars, spares and development parts are available on time and within quality standards.

In this fast-paced environment, you will drive supply continuity, manage logistics providers and optimise end-to-end supply chain performance with a focus on cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace or high-performance manufacturing supply chains.
• Proven ability to manage materials control, logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience managing international freight, customs and import/export compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership of operational teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning across race programs, vehicle builds and development projects.
• Ensure timely availability of components to support build, test and race deadlines.
• Develop and maintain inventory controls to optimise stock levels and minimise obsolescence.
• Manage material shortages, escalation processes and recovery plans.
• Direct warehouse, goods-in, dispatch and logistics operations.
• Coordinate international shipments, customs and export requirements.
