Job description

Job Title: Senior Material Controller

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £35,802+ depending on skills & experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting with end-to-end material management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
  • Working in synergy with the supplier to ensure material availability
  • Collaborating with Logistics to facilitate the receipt, storage and return of materials
  • Liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
  • Collating and analysing data for the creation of KPI’s
  • Representing the team at meetings to give updates on material status
  • Providing updates on internal and external material statuses and issues and taking actions to satisfy the project schedule demands and milestones

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience working within Project Management
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in Supply Chain
  • Proficient with SAP or similar ERP System
  • Experience using Team Centre

The Material Management team:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment across the Astute and Dreadnought Programmes. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
