Job description

Join Luzern eCommerce: Powering the World’s Most Ambitious Brands

Since 2003, Luzern eCommerce has been helping leading global brands grow their online business. We partner with brands including Panasonic, Reebok, Stokke, KIKO, Next, Twining's, Canon, Bondi Sands and Philips, helping them accelerate growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences across major marketplaces including Amazon and Zalando, branded webstores and social platforms.

Backed by significant investment, Luzern is an international, technology-led eCommerce business with an ambitious growth strategy. Our AI-enabled Channel Optimizer platform, combined with our eCommerce expertise, helps brands manage and grow their presence across increasingly complex digital channels.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are looking for talented people who enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and want to play an active role in the next stage of Luzern's development.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketplace professional with deep Amazon Vendor and Seller expertise, a strong drive for results and a passion for building great teams and client partnerships.

As a Senior Marketplace Manager, you will own the strategy and commercial performance of some of our most important brands on Amazon, while leading and developing a team of Marketplace Managers. You will bridge the gap between commercial strategy and day-to-day execution, and help our clients grow beyond Amazon into the wider marketplace landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

Client & Commercial Leadership

  • You will be the senior point of contact for a portfolio of high-value brands across Amazon Vendor (1P) and Seller (3P), building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors.

  • You will own commercial performance across your accounts – sales, profitability and advertising efficiency – proactively identifying risks and opportunities and reporting on anything that may impact performance.

  • You will lead Business Reviews (QBRs) with clients, coordinating the wider team to deliver best-in-class, insight-led presentations and recommendations, in person at regular points throughout the year.

  • You will identify new opportunities within key accounts and consultatively sell expanded scope – new marketplaces, territories and services – aligned with client and internal goals.

Amazon Strategy & Performance

  • You will develop and deliver annual and quarterly growth plans across 1P and 3P, including channel strategy decisions such as hybrid models, catalogue rationalisation and 1P/3P transitions.

  • You will lead on Vendor commercial levers – supporting annual negotiations, forecast and PO health, shortages and chargebacks, and ASIN-level profitability.

  • You will oversee Seller Central performance – pricing architecture, Buy Box, FBA inventory health and account health.

  • You will set the direction for Amazon Ads strategy across Sponsored Products, Brands, Display and DSP, ensuring media investment is measured against total sales and profitability, not ad metrics alone.

  • You will ensure retail readiness across accounts – content, A+, Brand Stores, ratings and reviews, and catalogue hygiene.

  • You will work with eCommerce Operations & Marketing teams to deliver promotional calendars, tentpole events (Prime Day, Black Friday) and new product launches.

  • You will use our proprietary technology, Channel Optimizer and Compass, alongside Amazon and third-party tools, to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight.

People Leadership

  • You will line manage and develop a team of Marketplace Managers and Executives – setting objectives, coaching, running 1:1s and performance reviews.

  • You will set the standard for team output, quality-assuring reports, recommendations and client communication before they reach the client.

  • You will drive best practice, process improvements and cross-learning between Marketplace and eCommerce Acceleration teams.

  • You will balance the needs of multiple clients against internal priorities, delegating effectively and managing client expectations.

Multi-Marketplace Growth & Business Contribution

  • You will support brands expanding beyond Amazon UK – into pan-EU Amazon marketplaces and other channels such as Zalando, eBay, TikTok Shop and bol.

  • You will provide insightful input to your manager and the Senior Leadership Team to aid strategic decision making, and act as an internal subject matter expert on Amazon.

What You'll Bring
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years in Marketplace or Account Management, with at least 3 years hands-on with Amazon (agency or brand side) and experience in a senior or team lead role.

  • You will have deep, practical knowledge of both Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central, with a proven track record of scaling brands across both models.

  • You will have a strong understanding of Amazon Advertising and how media, retail readiness and commercials combine to drive profitable growth.

  • You will have proven people management experience – developing, motivating and holding a team to a high standard.

  • You will have strong commercial acumen – comfortable with margin, profitability and setting and owning commercial targets.

  • You will have strong analytical skill set, with advanced Excel and experience of tools such as Helium 10, Keepa or PowerBI.

  • You will have seasoned presentation skills, with the confidence to manage senior stakeholder expectations and deliver difficult messages backed by data.

  • You will have the ability to operate at a strategic level, yet remain close enough to the details to troubleshoot issues and be a real support to your team.

  • You have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple client requirements.

  • Business proficiency in English is essential.

Desirable
  • Experience with other marketplaces such as Zalando (ZFS/ZEOS), eBay, TikTok Shop, Allegro or bol.
  • Pan-EU Amazon expansion experience.
  • Amazon DSP and Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) experience.
  • D2C eCommerce experience.
  • Category experience in Beauty, Fashion, Home or Consumer Electronics.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and benefits

  • Hybrid Working Model

  • Great working environment with a passionate, collaborative team

  • Continuous learning & career development

  • The opportunity to work with some of the world's leading brands across the most exciting marketplace
