Job description

We’re Barretts of Kent and our family business has been trading in Canterbury for more than 120 years. Today, our customers enjoy a first-class experience in every one of our JLR, BMW, MINI and Honda dealerships across Ashford and Canterbury. Serving both business and personal customers, we stock a range of both used and new vehicles as well as providing excellent after-sales services. We combine the values of the past with the cars of the future.

Are you a highly motivated marketer with experience across the full range of marketing skills, who’s ready to take the next step in your career? We're an automotive dealership group seeking a hands-on Senior Marketing Executive to generate new enquiries, support our team and align our activity with the objectives of various stakeholders across the business. It's a busy and varied environment where there's always loads going on, and we have a supportive culture where everyone pitches in to get the job done.

What you'll do:

  • Lead campaign success:Work closely with two Marketing Executives to plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns focused on generating new enquiries across our dealership brands (JLR, BMW, MINI and Honda). You’ll inspire the team to come up with new ideas, develop your own and amplify opportunities from colleagues around the business.
  • Content creation:Oversee and contribute to the creation of engaging content for various platforms including email, social and site, ensuring it resonates with our target audiences, gets results and aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Agency management:Be the primary contact for our PPC and SEO agency, managing performance, identifying opportunities, and ensuring strategic alignment to maximise online visibility and lead generation for all our brands.
  • Performance monitoring:Track, analyse, and report on key marketing metrics, using data-driven insights from a range of systems to refine strategies and improve ROI.
  • Team development:Support and mentor our Marketing Executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Brand management:Support the development and growth of Barrett's own brand as well as the manufacturer brands by ensuring consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.

Who you are:

  • Experienced marketer:You'll have at least 3 years’ experience across a range of marketing disciplines, with some experience managing others or leading projects.
  • Results-oriented:You're driven by targets and committed to generating new business enquiries. You’ll need a tenacious nature to find the answers you need to inform future activity and plans.
  • Digital marketing savvy:You’ve got experience dealing with various digital channels and know your ROAS from your ROI and know that CTR isn’t everything (but when it’s high, that’s great).
  • Proactive & ambitious:You thrive in a hands-on environment and are eager to learn, adapt, and grow.
  • Collaborative:You enjoy working as part of a team and can inspire others to achieve shared goals. You understand that great communication (within the team and with stakeholders) is vital.
  • Adaptable:Our culture is about 'try and learn', so you're comfortable iterating and evolving strategies rather than seeking perfection at every step.
  • Customer first:You know who the most important person in the world is, and you incorporate their wants/needs into everything you do.
  • Automotive enthusiast (Bonus):A passion for cars and driving is a plus but direct automotive experience is not essential.
  • Multi-brand experience:Experience of managing multiple brands at the same time would be an advantage.

What we offer:

  • A challenging and rewarding role within a leading automotive group.
  • The opportunity to make a significant impact on business growth.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Scope for career progression and personal development.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

To apply, please submit your CV and a covering letter tokerry.stamp@barrettsgroup.comdetailing your relevant experience and why you would be a great fit for this position.
