Job summary

The Senior Marketing Assistant role sits in the Marketing Solutions Team at A&O Shearman, Belfast. It provides proactive support to global marketing and business development initiatives and ensures accuracy of marketing materials, data, and communications.

Working with business development, digital marketing and creative teams, you will manage pitch reporting, email campaigns, collateral updates and client reporting to help strengthen client relationships and raise the firm's profile.

Qualifications

• Experience in a marketing or business development support role, ideally within a professional services environment.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM/contact management systems.
• Comfortable working with data, including data entry, management, and basic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Pitch reporting and data management: support pitch aftercare by adding proposals and opportunities to our systems, chasing pitch outcomes for reporting purposes, managing matter descriptions, maintaining marketing databases and identifying data quality issues for correction.
• Email marketing: work with business development teams to assemble content, build and test mailings, manage lists and contacts, complete follow-up activity and support campaign reporting.
• Collateral management: update marketing collateral and coordinate with Creative Services where required.
• Client reporting support: prepare relationship statements, briefing notes, client reports and briefing packs using approved templates, research, recent activity and agreed data.
