As a Senior Maritime Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing designs and analyses for maritime structures, from initial concept through to detailed design. You’ll work with various materials such as steel, concrete, and timber, ensuring projects meet relevant design codes. Your role will involve everything from inspections and surveys to managing and coaching junior staff. You will also have the autonomy to select and manage projects that align with your interests, while contributing engineering expertise across all project stages—from inception to demolition and recycling. You will be working on green ports across the world, protecting the UK coastline and creating a renewable platform for the future.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Chartered Member (or working towards chartership) - 5+ years experience
  • Knowledge / Experience of working to BIM Level 2
  • Independently carry out design and analysis work.
  • Show strong inter-personal and communication skills - articulate orally and in writing with team members, clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete design and finite element analysis.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in innovative design solutions - shipyard infrastructure, heavy-duty quays, dry docks, floating docks or shiplifts; with an awareness of international standards

This is a great opportunity to work with an organisation that is environmentally conscious, offering sustainable solutions, in a relaxed and flexible work environment. If you are looking for a role where you can build your experience, with exciting projects and excellent prospects of career development, then this is for you!
