Job summary

TDC Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Lead/Senior Marine Electronics Engineer to lead our Marine Electronics Division, overseeing a team of engineers and delivering service, installation and repair of radar, gyro compass, marine radio and ECDIS systems on vessels onshore and offshore. You will conduct radio surveys and VDR performance tests, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Qualifications

Significant experience with marine communication and navigation systems (radar, gyro compass, marine radio, ECDIS, VDR).
Background in electronics/electrical engineering within the marine sector is essential.
GMDSS GOC is preferred.
A full UK driving licence and a valid passport are required.
Some weekend and out-of-hours work and travel may be required.
Must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Service, install and repair marine navigation and communications equipment, including Radar, Gyro compass, Marine Radio and ECDIS.
Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance, surveys and inspections on vessels both onshore and offshore.
Undertake radio surveys and VDR performance tests.
Ensure equipment installations meet international maritime standards.
Guide engineers through complex fault finding and installation procedures.
Work independently while delivering a high standard of technical expertise and customer service.
