Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Swindon is seeking a Senior Project Manager Engineer to lead capital projects, including implementing a new Thermofit Molding Value Stream as part of a multi-million investment.

The role covers full project lifecycle from concept to handover, coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS and suppliers to deliver on time, within budget and in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical engineering.
Experience delivering capital equipment projects from concept to completion.
Experience in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing is advantageous.
Knowledge of machinery safety, PUWER, CE/UKCA requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering projects from concept through handover, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, timeline and business objectives.
Develop equipment specifications with Manufacturing Engineering and Technical teams.
Support supplier selection and procurement activities.
Prepare CAPEX submissions with financial justification and budgets.
Raise purchase orders using SAP for equipment and contractor services.
Manage project schedules, resources, risks and stakeholder communications.
Produce engineering designs and CAD drawings, with 3D modelling where applicable.
Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, commissioning and production readiness.
Ensure RAMS and safety compliance; maintain change documentation.
