Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager in Hastings to own key customer manufacturing programmes in a structured engineering environment. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires strong project management, manufacturing knowledge and the ability to coordinate multiple departments to deliver projects on time, to specification and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ project or programme management experience within manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, materials and quality processes.
• Experience managing customer relationships and complex manufacturing programmes.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end manufacturing programmes and customer relationships.
• Coordinate production, planning, engineering, quality, procurement and logistics.
• Monitor production schedules, materials, work in progress and delivery commitments.
• Manage customer quality issues, corrective actions and engineering changes.
• Track programme costs, risks, milestones and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, efficiency and delivery.
