Job Description:

Terumo Aortic is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead to ensure stable, effective, and well-documented manufacturing processes while driving process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce costs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review manufacturing processes to document, measure, refine, and improve process capability and effectiveness.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs to deliver cost savings aligned with manufacturing goals.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments for smooth transfer of new products into manufacturing, ensuring specifications and packaging materials are available.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of FMEA and DOE processes.
  • Manage the implementation of ECOs to address product quality, cost, and design issues.
  • Ensure manufacturing tests and validations are performed; confirm product fit and function.
  • Generate drawings and review/approve artwork for correct implementation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for product defects.
  • Analyze and approve corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Monitor field responses to confirm effectiveness of corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Black Belt in Six Sigma preferred; Green Belt acceptable.
  • Solid manufacturing engineering experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (SMED, VM, 5S) advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the medical device manufacturing industry desirable.
