Qualifications

Job description

Providing support to the Manufacturing Planning and Control function to ensure there are appropriate tools, processes, and policies in place.

Salary: Circa £47,500 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

Support the Manufacturing Planning and Control function by maintaining tools, processes, and policies. Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supervising MRP Controllers in the Central Data Team
  • Supporting and developing deployed resources, ensuring training and skills development
  • Controlling and auditing master data for accuracy in the MRP system
  • Assisting the Master Scheduler with planning strategies and decoupling decisions
  • Using SAP to extract, interpret data, and communicate insights
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes supporting SAP and customer delivery
  • Creating and reviewing requirement analysis documents and specifications for external consultants (DXC)
  • Providing MRP support to the MP&C community
  • Coordinating SAP queries, communicating resolutions, and proposing process improvements
  • Testing new SAP functionalities and representing MP&C in system integration projects
  • Maintaining policies and processes, supporting audits for compliance
  • Generating planning KPIs for sales, operations, and business reviews

What we're looking for from you:

  • HNC level qualification or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain, or related roles
  • APICS supply chain certification (desirable)
  • Experience with MRP; SAP experience beneficial
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
