Job summary

GKN Aerospace, a leading aerospace contractor, requires a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will provide technical expertise for operational and development programs, delivering robust manufacturing process technology for materials, tooling, part fabrication and assembly.

Based in Papendrecht with an international team, you will drive continuous improvement, apply lean principles, ensure safety and quality, and lead cross-functional collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial or Mechanical) required.
• Approximately 5–7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with New Product/Process introduction and process improvements.
• Ability to influence people and build trust within a global organization.
• Knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000.
• Project/Program Management experience.
• Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Provide technical governance for manufacturing development and integration.
• Resolve vendor schedule and quality issues quickly.
• Break down complex problems to create value and zero-defect manufacturing.
• Lead positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Continuously improve production processes using Lean initiatives.
• Oversee development of manufacturing processes for complex problems.
• Lead production planning from concept to implementation using ZDM tools.
