Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited is recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Site Installations to develop installation methods, sequencing, and on-site integration strategies for assembling and installing manufactured equipment.

You will report to the Senior Manufacturing Manager and work across engineering and construction teams, with hybrid working from Derby, Manchester or Warrington and regular supplier travel, including international travel where required.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or installation engineering experience.
• Method development and process planning.
• Strong stakeholder management capability.
• Experience of large engineered product assembly or installation.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

• Define installation methodologies, ensure constructability considerations are incorporated and support integration activities across engineering and construction teams.
• Support Design for Manufacture and Assembly activities.
• Work with construction and engineering teams to ensure install ability.
• Support supplier and contractor engagement activities.

The appointment of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Site Installations will be a pivotal role at Rolls Royce SMR to develop the methods, sequencing and installation strategies for assembling and integrating manufactured equipment on site. You will be reporting to our Senior Manufacturing Manager and your role will look like, Define installation methodologies, ensure constructability considerations are incorporated and support integration activities across engineering and construction teams Support Design for Manufacture and Assembly activities Work with construction and engineering teams to ensure install ability Support supplier and contractor engagement activities We seek an inspiring and tenacious individual who will have had exposure in regulated or safety‑critical environments (as you would expect nuclear "know-how" will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and manufacturing sectors may all have transferable capability). We will need your application to showcase your experience and knowledge in the following areas: Manufacturing or installation engineering experience. Method development and process planning. Strong stakeholder management capability. Experience of large engineered product assembly or installation. Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Location & Ways of Working

This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office. Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travel required. Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.

• A salary between £50,640 and £66,500 depending on experience
• 12.5% performance related bonus
