Job summary

HydraForce Hydraulics Ltd in Birmingham, UK, is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership to Production and Logistics, identifying operations improvements and developing processes to meet quality, cost and efficiency targets.

You will guide and develop Manufacturing Engineers, Junior Engineers and Technicians, manage multiple projects to time and budget, and generate documentation and PCPs/VCPs/TCPs, while applying lean tools such as Kaizen and Kanban.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Engineering Apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience and budget delivery.
• CAD: Creo & AutoCAD advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to Production and Logistics.
• Identify operations improvements to meet quality, cost and efficiency targets.
• Mentor Manufacturing Engineers, Junior Engineers and Technicians.
• Develop and maintain PCPs, VCPs, TCPs and SOPs.
• Lead cost-reduction and process-efficiency initiatives.
• Support prototype builds and NPI activities.
• Work with multiple sites to share best practices.
