Job summary
Gibbs Gears Precision Engineers Ltd in Aylesbury is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer/Production Engineer to develop and industrialise new and existing components for aerospace precision gear production. You will review drawings, develop manufacturing routes, create stage drawings and CAD models, define tooling, workholding and process plans, supporting NPI and first manufacture.
The role emphasizes turning complex customer drawings into controlled, repeatable shop-floor
Qualifications
- Experience turning customer drawings into repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Background in aerospace, defence or high-precision machining.
- Proficient in GD&T and quality control requirements.
- Experience in tooling, fixtures and workholding.
Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings and define manufacturing routes.
- Create stage drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Define tooling, workholding and inspection requirements.
- Support NPI and first article manufacture.
- Maintain manufacturing data in ERP system.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality to ensure readiness.
