Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Salary to £52K & Benefits including; Generous Pension, Life Assurance, Cashback Scheme

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a global technology company known for designing high-quality products used in military, law enforcement, and rescue applications.

This is a new position at this site, offering you the chance to make the role your own and create a significant impact!

Key Tasks:

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
2. Drive the seamless transition of new products from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
3. Partner with New Product Development (NPD) to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) during development.
4. Create and maintain SAP routings to accurately reflect production processes and ensure efficient ERP integration.
5. Optimize production workflows, layouts, and equipment usage to reduce waste and improve throughput.
6. Design production jigs and fixtures for ease of manufacturability within production.
7. Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
8. Investigate/source modern and innovative materials and equipment.
9. Analyze costs and deliver solutions that improve both performance and profitability.

Requirements:

1. Qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree).
2. Minimum 7+ years of experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
3. Hands-on approach with a deep understanding of production processes and industrial equipment.
4. Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
5. Experience in Jig & Fixture design and DFMEA processes.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional projects.
7. UK Driving License and valid passport for occasional travel between UK & US.
