Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the defence and security sector, is looking for Senior Manufacturing Engineers to join their Submarine Solutions team on a contract basis in Barrow. This role requires an experienced professional with expertise in manufacturing processes and an understanding of the defence industry. The position offers an opportunity to work on high-profile projects within a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing processes to support submarine production
  • Ensuring all manufacturing activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Working closely with design and quality teams to optimise product designs for manufacturability
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Identifying and solving production issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with suppliers and external partners to ensure seamless production flow
