Project description

One of the world's largest multichannel video programming distributors is searching for a Senior Manual QA Engineer. The project focuses on developing a video streaming platform. Our team spans across multiple time zones (mainly USA, Mexico, and Poland) and covers the entire product lifecycle, including architecture, design, coding, DevOps, testing, and other software development activities to ensure uninterrupted content streaming to millions of customers worldwide. We follow the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and employ best practices such as CI/CD and TDD.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and execute test cases to validate client data reporting across various reporting tools: NewRelic, ComScore, Nielsen, Adobe, Raptor, etc.
• Log bugs and verify bug fixes.
• Adhere to predefined SLA for Release Candidate (RC) validation.
• Create and publish test reports after each RC test cycle.
• Support on-demand test validations within short timelines.
• Conduct KPI-impacting incident deep dives to re-validate client reporting; create bugs and verify fixes.
• Assist client development teams with investigations by providing supporting data and reproducible scenarios.

Skills

Must have

• Experience in testing and data validation for iOS, Android, and TV platforms (Apple TV, Android TV, FireTV, Roku, Samsung TV).
• Experience with debugging tools such as Charles Proxy, Wireshark, etc.

Nice to have

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good planning, organizational, and follow-up abilities.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Experience with Blackbox testing.
